Arrival
Wels has excellent transportation connections and is easily reachable from all directions via the A1, A8, and A9 motorways. The Hotel Ploberger is located right in the center of Wels and is connected to the public underground garage at Kaiser-Josef-Platz.
Hotel guests can conveniently pay for their parking ticket at the reception or have it charged to their room. This way, the stay begins relaxed – without searching for a parking space and long walks.
By Plane
The nearest airports are Linz (LNZ) and Salzburg (SZG). Linz Airport can be reached in about 20 minutes, and Salzburg in about an hour. Due to direct train connections, traveling by train is often recommended for the journey from Salzburg.
Our reception team is happy to organize an airport transfer for you. The cost for a transfer from Linz Airport is around EUR 40.00.
By Train
Wels is located directly on the West railway line and is excellently connected to the Austrian and international railway network. Both ÖBB and WESTbahn stop at Wels main station.
From the train station, you can reach Hotel Ploberger in about ten minutes on foot or a few minutes by taxi.
