European Championship in the Tornado Class - SCATT

From 15 to 20 September 2025, the European Championship in the Tornado Class will take place at the Attersee Sailing Club

Tornado European Championship at SCATT
After 29 years, the Tornado fleet is returning to Lake Attersee to organise its European Championship. The event is being organised by Segelclub Attersee (SCATT) in cooperation with Segel- und Surfclub Seewalchen (SSC-S) and will take place from 15 to 20 September 2025 on the Häuplhof grounds.
The Tornado was the Olympic catamaran from 1976 to 2008 and is still one of the fastest open catamaran classes. It is sailed by a crew of one and can reach speeds of over 20 knots. 30 Tornado crews are expected to take part in the European Championship  
The Attersee Sailing Club will organise the 2025 event. The sailing club recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and currently has 300 members.
