Event information

The overwhelming success of Advent at Lake Wolfgangsee can be described in four words:
Authenticity, decoration, events, Schifffahrt (boat tours on the lake)


Advent at Lake Wolfgangsee offers local delicacies, home made punch and mulled wine as well as carefully selected gift ideas. In particular the imaginative decoration has been causing a stir since the opening of Advent at Lake Wolfgangsee. The huge Christmas trees, lanterns, comets, stars, candles and Swedish fireplaces in the three villages have wowed their visitors.

The lake plays a key role because Lake Wolfgangsee is the only place which offers a visit to three different Advent villages by boat.

Another important element in our programme is the SchafbergBahn which invites you to a nostalgic trip to Schafbergalm.

The emblem of the Advent at Lake Wolfgangsee, the swimming Advent lantern, is with 16 metres the highest structure at Lake Wolfgangsee. Altogether, 0.5 km of light-emitting diodes (LED) have been used for this lantern.
