In the museum Innviertler Volkskundehaus the crib, in front of which 1818 the christmas song "Silent Night! Holy Night!" was performed for the first time, is exposed. In 1933 the priest Johann Veichtlbauer brought it together with his collection to Ried.
After the complex restoration of the figures and the rearrangement of the crib-scene, which accentuates the historical details, this jewel will shine in new bright light in the restored exhibition room.
