Afterwards from 4.30 a.m.: Easter vigil with blessing of the dishes.

This is the day on which the church reflects on the burial of Christ and awaits the resurrection with fasting and prayers. Easter Saturday ends with the start of the Easter vigil. As the vigil is intended to be held in total darkness it usually begins in the late evening of Easter Saturday.
