On Shrove Monday, the Obertraun carnival letter is performed in the inns of Obertraun . On this day, the "Obertrauner Keppelweiba" go from inn to inn and present hoppalas and misadventures of the Obertraun population that have happened over the course of a year.
On this evening, all the embarrassments of the past year, rhymed in a funny way and presented in song, are relentlessly published.
