Haus Lilo

House Lilo is an eighty-year-old stone house in a quiet, natural setting, heated exclusively by three wood-burning stoves in the winter. In this three-bedroom home, you will find harmony with nature, the sky, and the weather of the southern foothills of the Bohemian Forest. At nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, you can experience the Alpine foreland of the Mühlviertel in Schöneben in a very special way, at any time of year.

The kitchen stove heats the house's hot water and the radiators in the bedrooms, and it is also wonderful for cooking. In the summer, solar panels on the roof provide hot water. A ceramic cooktop is also available, along with a fully equipped kitchen stocked with basic staples.

The water comes from the property's own well, is treated with Grander technology, and tastes delicious. Firewood is located in the attached "Stadl" (barn).

The dining room features a table with seating for eight people. A cozy seating area in the living room invites you to enjoy one of the many available board games. There is deliberately no television, but there is a good Wi-Fi connection. The ground floor is heated by a tiled stove (Kachelofen).

On the upper floor, there are two double bedrooms (King-size beds), a single/office room, and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub. An additional bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor.

The garden offers privacy with wonderful views and plenty of shaded areas. A campfire site is also available.

Schöneben features a riding stable, a church, a stone circle, and many beautiful hiking, riding, and cycling trails. It is located approximately 7 km from Liebenau, 11 km from Weitersfelden, 27 km from Freistadt, and 60 km from Linz. The Stierhüblteich natural swimming lake is 12 km away.

Please note that in winter, guests are responsible for maintaining the stoves, which requires regular attention depending on the outside temperature and weather conditions.
