About us - Rita & Markus vom Oberweiringer

We are Rita Koch and Markus Hennerbichler - a family business with heart, hands and hoofbeat. Together with our four children, including a son, we live and work at the Oberweiringer. What unites us? A love of horses, nature - and each other. We've been a couple since 2018. We got to know each other, how could it be otherwise, through the horses.

Rita has experience in many areas: from the hospitality industry to office work and property, to working in a kindergarten and as a social pedagogue. Today, she accompanies people with and through horses - including as part of curative education and therapeutic support with horses (HTFP). She also bakes fresh bread every week - with a lot of love, often from her own rye, which grows here in our fields. Rita also supports people as a coach and energiser. Markus is deeply rooted in agriculture. He cultivates the fields, works with the horses and puts his heart and soul into the farm - whether it's farming, haymaking or caring for our animals. We grow potatoes, rye and other products that we process ourselves and share with our guests.

Our shared vision gave rise to ‘Erlebnis Oberweiringer’ - a special place where nature, animals and people come together. Our adventure accommodation such as ‘Bed in the hay’ or ‘Sleeping in the stables’ offer unforgettable nights close to nature. There are also offers such as carriage rides, pony rides, therapy sessions with horses, picnic baskets, family adventure days and much more.

And this is just the beginning - we have many more plans. Because our greatest concern is to bring people closer to horses, to nature and to themselves.
