Sometimes it doesn't need much to feel comfortable
Like in the old days
The Brielalm chalet was once a little bit more upwards the mountain, but due to a landslide it was completely rebuilt at a lower height with paying lot’s attention to detail in 2007. Most of the new furniture was crafted, even furniture from the original chalet was refurbished at the on site carpentry. Living in the middle of forests comes with high responsibility to sustainability. That’s why we used material from the local region only for the rebuilding.
Around the mountains pasture
Our chalet is very cosy, but at beautiful weather conditions, you have to be outside. At the outside barbecue area you can spoil yourself culinary, while watching cows and horses grazing.
The kids will love the wide open grass area for romping around. Once as loud as you like to be, without hearing all the time:”PSST, be quiet!”, due to the absolutely secluded area, you might scare not more then surrounding live stock.
The nearby creek provides not only a romantic noise, it’s a very nice natural playground for the kids as well.
The hut is only open in summer!

Location descriptionOur secluded chalet is situated in the gorgeous region of Gosau, in-between the terrain of the famous Dachstein mountain formation.
The chalet is located at 950 AMSL, surrounded by beautiful alpine meadows and wonderful mountains. Perfect for taking a deep breath, leaning back, let everything go and drifting away. Longing for quietness and creating space for relaxation – that is what you can do at the Brielalm.
With a little bit of luck, calm and patience, you might spot some deer and chamoises.
Your way to the "Gosauer Ruheplatzl"
Our chalet is connected to a chargeable logging road. The fees for the first arrival and departure are included in the pricing. If you want a drive to the valley in between, you can book from us for 23 each transit. This fees are charged from the upper austrian Bundesforste for the use of the logging road.
During arrival, we will meet you at the fishing pound in the front Gosau valley.
From there we will accompany you for a 7 mins car drive to the mountain pasture and introduce you to the chalet. You can follow us with your car or we bring you up there.
