Goldwörth
Goldwörth, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Goldwörth, a small town with a population of 935, nestles between Ottensheim and Feldkirchen, on the edge of the pristine Danube water meadows.
The name “Goldwörth” dates back to the times when people where panning for gold in the many branches of the Danube.Over the years Goldwörth has developed into a popular residential town which offers a wide range of sports facilities, culture and events. The redesign of the town square has brought life back to the center of Goldwörth. The fountain – which represents a gold panning sifter – has turned into a resting place for cyclists and children and serves as meeting point for cycling and hiking tours in the scenic surroundings. The new playground offers a safe space for children to romp about to their hearts content. Another popular attraction is the mini steam-train in Hagenau.
