Laussa

Laussa lies in a quiet side valley of the Enns on the border to the Northern Limestone Alps. The history of the village is based on ancient tradition, as evidenced by valuable finds from the Neolithic Age. In the last centuries, several hammer mills settled along the Laussabach and today the hammer castles still bear witness to the former prosperity of the Black Counts.
There are two nature reserves in the municipal area of Laussa, which are home to a wealth of protected plant and animal species. Herb and orchid meadows in the "Limestone Wall" nature reserve invite you to take relaxing hikes that refresh the senses.
More than 180 climbing routes in grades 5 to 9 are available for friends of this sport. Further information can be found at www.klettern-im-ennstal.at
Accommodation can be found in guesthouses, private quarters and farms; you are sure to discover cosiness and hospitality everywhere. And if you want to go on short excursions, you will find a rich cultural and museum landscape in the wider surroundings.
