Sarleinsbach
Sarleinsbach, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Tucked away in the hills of Upper Mühlviertel, Sarleinsbach offers great relaxation and recreation!
Sarleinsbach was a market town on the old Danube – Bohemia trading route and has a thousand-year old history. The beautiful baroque houses and the magnificent town hall testify to the wealth of the old linen traders. The gothic parish church contains arts and treasures from all epochs. Another beautiful sight is the renaissance Sprinzenstein palace. Other religious places to visit include old chapels, wayside shrines and tree shrines. The landscape is dotted with old mills, traditional farmhouses, pristine hamlets and charming villages.A popular outing destination is Brezerhaus, an authentic farmhouse from the 16th century, where you can sample heart-warming regional food. Brezerhaus is located in Rutzersdorf, a small village amid vast, open fields, about 10 minutes by car from Sarleinsbach.
Brezerhaus is open from May 5 to October 26 on Sundays and bank holidays from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m; groups of 8 or more any time by arrangement. Please contact Monika Scharinger, Sarleinsbach, Innerhötzendorf 1, tel. 07283/8616).
