The area around St. Georgen is of outstanding natural beauty and lends itself to unique nature exploration. A special delight is a walk to the small designated biotope that is located in an abandoned quarry at Weingraben. The pond is within a 30 minutes´ walk from the village center. This unique natural habitat wetland area accommodates rare plants and animals, some of which can only be found in this area anymore.
