Pupping

Pupping, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The vegetable community to enjoy and relax!
Over 1000 years of Danube village.

Pupping nestles in the marvelous Upper Austrian Donautal valley, on the Danube´s shores, right in the center of the Eferdinger Becken basin. The lovely little town is easily accessible by train, bus or boat (Brandstatt-Eferding harbor) due to its convenient location only 30 km from Linz, Upper Austria´s capital.

The Abbey Church of Pupping, Saint Wolfgang´s place of death, ranks among the cultural highlights of the entire area. Pupping is a renowned trading town and famous for the periodically held vegetable and gardening trade fair (in 1985, 1998 and 2001).

Witness to Pupping´s rich history are the Schaunburg ruins (Upper Austria´s biggest fortress), the Stauff ruins and the Peasants´ Revolt memorial in the Wilde Moos area. A great many of traditional inns and pubs prepare regional delights and local specialties featuring homemade farm products and fresh fish.
