Pilgrimage place & recreational resort in the gently rolling foothills of the Kobernaußerwald forest.

The pilgrimage place of Maria Schmolln, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, looks back on a more than 260 year old tradition. Especially in May and October an infinite number of pilgrims from all over the country get together in order to worship the Virgin Mary.

Additionally, Maria Schmolln has many highlights and activities to offer! Forget the daily grind and restore new energies in our lovely holiday resort. Choose from a whole range of winter sports and activities for all levels and ages:
- Cleared hiking trails
- T-bar ski lift, floodlit slope
- 1 laid cross country skiing track (loop trail)
- Ice curling, natural rink and frozen ponds

Winter sports and activities strongly depend on weather conditions. A great many of traditional inns and pubs are famous for their excellent delights and regional Innviertel specialties accompanied by a glass of tasty mulled wine. Relax and unwind at the tiled stove and make new friends in a very special ambiance.
