Anton and the detectives - interactive walk with Anton Bruckner through Kremsmünster

The interactive Bruckner tour through Kremsmünster is a very special project organised by the cultural committee of the market town of Kremsmünster. This walk invites families and curious adults to discover the life and work of the famous composer Anton Bruckner and his connection to Kremsmünster.

"With the help of the interactive smartphone app hublz, exciting information is revealed along the way, music is played and puzzles are solved. And the special thing is that this offer is available free of charge to anyone who is interested!" says Deputy Mayor and Head of Cultural Affairs Dagmar Fetz-Lugmayr, who contributed to the development with a great deal of commitment and regional knowledge.
 
Anton Bruckner was very close to Kremsmünster throughout his life. The playfully designed walk provides charming insights into the life and work of the famous composer in Kremsmünster. The tour begins in the inner courtyard of Kremsmünster Abbey, which is closely associated with what is probably Bruckner's most famous work, "Locus Iste". Perhaps Bruckner was inspired by the inscription on the outer façade of the church "Vere dominus est in loco isto" for his most famous choral work "Locus Iste". In any case, the fascination of this melody with its catchy tune potential accompanies all "detectives" who embark on this tour. The route leads through the magnificent abbey grounds, the historic Tötenhengst and small town hall square to the lively market square and ends at the home of his organ teacher. Humorous "dialogues" accompany the walk. Anton Bruckner also speaks up from time to time and tells anecdotes from his time in Kremsmünster. Entertaining little games/quizzes complete the programme as well as linked music examples and videos.
