Nordland Aronia

Nordland Aronia - a small berry with a big impact
The Fragner and Stöger families from Pregarten in the Mühlviertel region raise cattle and dairy cattle on their farms and have been producing their Nordland Aronia products since 2018.
The Mühlviertel is north of the Danube, or the land in the north of Austria. The coordinates 48°N and 14°E describe the cultivation area of Nordland Aronia's chokeberry farms.

In autumn 2016, 38,000 plants were planted on their farms in Meitschenhof and Kriechmayrdorf on
38,000 plants were planted on 10 hectares of land and have been cultivated organically ever since. Some of the plants are cared for mechanically, but it also involves a lot of manual labour.
In August 2018, the first harvest took place with great joy and aronia juice was proudly produced.

They are convinced by the sweet and sour, tart-tasting berry, which is also called chokeberry due to its shape. The plant originates from North America and even the Native Americans swore by this little miracle berry and its great health benefits.
The aronia berry is rich in highly effective ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, trace elements and secondary plant substances. These have an antibacterial effect and protect the body from free radicals. Regular consumption of aronia makes a significant contribution to general health and well-being. The recommended daily amount is 80-100 ml.

The directly pressed juice and other products from the aronia berry are available from the farm, at the Pregarten farmers' market and in shops in the region under the joint brand "Nordland".
