The Astronomical Association Mühlviertel (AVM)
invites all people interested in astronomy to join.
The association offers regular meetings, star tours, telescope evenings, lectures, courses and specialised trips.
The observation station is located in Pürstling near Sandl due to the dark night sky and the altitude.
The club evenings usually take place every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 19:30 in the Gasthof Mader in Lest near Freistadt. If you are interested in becoming a member or just want to find out more, just drop by.
An interview with Chairman Franz Hofstadler and Deputy Chairman Egon Döberl as part of the Kernlandmagazin programme on Freistadt Free Radio provides an insight into the organisation.
