The small bathing area in Obersee, a district of Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt, offers peace and quiet and ideal refreshment on hot summer days in the Salzkammergut.
Bathing fun in drinking water quality awaits you, as Lake Hallstatt, which is up to 125 m deep, is supplied with the purest mountain water by the Koppentraun and the Dachstein massif. On hot summer days, Lake Hallstatt still reaches temperatures of up to 23°.
There is a paid parking lot and a public toilet in the immediate vicinity.
At the end of an extensive cycling or hiking tour, you should definitely take advantage of the Obersee recreation area for a dip in the refreshing Lake Hallstatt

Exit Thalgau via federal road B158 towards Bad Ischl, in Bad Ischl take the Salzkammergut road B145 towards Bad Goisern, in St. Agatha towards the lido, just before the railroad underpass turn left into Seeuferstraße, after the forest the bathing area is on the right hand side and the small parking lot on the other side of the road on the left hand side
from Linz:
Regau freeway exit on Salzkammergut Straße B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl as far as Bad Goisern, in St. Agatha towards the lido, just before the railroad underpass turn left into Seeuferstraße, after the wooded area the bathing area is on the right and the small parking lot on the other side of the road is on the left
from Vienna/Graz:
Freeway exit Liezen on B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Goisern, in St. Agatha towards Strandbad, just before the railroad underpass turn left into Seeuferstraße, after the wooded area the bathing area is on the right and the small parking lot on the other side of the road is on the left
from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße through Gosau, turn left at the Gosaumühle junction towards Bad Goisern, in St. Agatha towards the lido, just before the railroad underpass turn left into Seeuferstraße, after the wooded area the bathing area is on the right hand side and the small parking lot on the other side of the road on the left hand side
