Steinbogenbrücke - Historische Ausgrabung
Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich

In front of the south portal of the Linz Landhaus is the excavation of the historic stone arch bridge. It was uncovered in 2008 in the course of the renovation of the Landhaus and the associated underground car park construction work.
The archaeological find could be dated to the 18th century. At that time, the baroque bridge led over the city moat.Today it is fully preserved again, has been restored and integrated into the design of the Landhauspark. Protected by a glass wall, the stone arch bridge and the historic moat can now be visited at any time. Access is via the underground car park of the Promenade.
