The Pettenfirsthütte is located on the Pettenfirst in the middle of the Hausruckwald in the Upper Austrian Alps. It is a popular excursion destination for families and a base for scenic day trips into the surrounding area.
The marvellous view extends from Hochlecken over the Upper Austrian foothills of the western Salzkammergut, over the mountains of the Salzburg Tennengau and into the Bavarian foothills of the Alps.
There are numerous hiking options for young and old - from 25 minutes to 3.5 hours - to explore on the Pettenfirst. Of course, the area is also perfect for mountain bike tours. The Pettenfirsthütte is open all year round, has a children's playground and can also be reached directly by car.
