The family farm Biohof Mayer has been organically farmed since 2002 and is located on the hilly foothills of the Kobernaußerwald. Whether summer or winter, the organic farm's Angus cattle have constant access to the outdoors. As soon as the sun shines over the forest, they enjoy extensive sunbathing. In bad weather, they seek shelter in the barn.

In summer, the animals eat the lush pasture grass; in winter, they are only given basic feed. As a result, the cattle grow more slowly than others, which is reflected one-to-one in the quality of the meat.

Angus cattle are among the most sought-after meat breeds in the world. The meat has an intense, strong flavour and a delicate, fine fat grain, which is a direct result of the species-appropriate husbandry and rearing at the Mayer organic farm. The meat packages are cut ready for cooking and are usually vacuum-packed in 0.75kg packages. The maturing and ready-to-cook cutting of the meat takes place in the farm's own cold store and cutting room. This enables the Mayer family to guarantee the best quality of their products.
