Head forester Fritz Wolf was a practising forester, farmer and hunter and accompanied many, many interested guests on an unforgettable walk through the forest and gave them the incredible experience of discovering the forest with all their senses.

Head forester Fritz Wolf and his colleague Albert Botkar brought forest education to Austria and have already trained more than 1000 certified forest educators. Including his children, daughter-in-law and granddaughter!

The Almtal Forest School is now run jointly by the Wolf family, Christoph & Daniela, as well as daughter Susanna and granddaughter Marlene. They provide an insight into the fine art of forest management, which, due to its tradition, does not speak of nature conservation, but shows how the environment and economy are practised in an exemplary and exemplary manner over generations.
