Very close to the centre of Linz lies one of the oldest cemeteries in Upper Austria: the St. Barbara cemetery. Here people of all religions find their last resting place.
The careful, natural design with thousands of trees, shrubs and hedges makes it a retreat all year round in the middle of the city, a true park of silence, memory and hope.
The simple, bright farewell rooms offer a dignified, respectfully sensitive setting for different and individual farewell ceremonies.
In addition to the "classic" row grave, there are many other graves for coffin and urn burial - from the traditional wall grave to the burial of the urn under the family tree.
The cemetery is owned and managed by the St. Barbara Gottesackerstiftung.
