Cowboymuseum Fatsy
Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Many original pieces from America convey a touch of the cowboy's life as it used to be.
On the historically guided tours through "Little America", visitors immerse themselves in the world of cowboys, Indians and settlers. Between the ranch baron's room, sheriff's office and saloon, you can learn the true history of the time.
The extensive exhibition vividly presents over 5000 original exhibits from America. Among other things, you can see clothing, everyday objects, hats, saddles, carriages and much more.
The cowboy has become a symbolic figure of America worldwide - the lone rider in the vastness of the prairies, silent, strong, at one with nature. Inspired by an irrepressible desire for freedom and self-confidence, he lived by an unwritten code of honour.
As the highlight of this season, we are presenting an original chuck wagon in which the "cookie" (cook) accompanied the cowboys on the cattle trails.
Since 2005, the chuck wagon has been the official state vehicle of Texas.
After the historical trail through the "Wild West", all "greenhorns" can try their luck at horseshoe throwing, "Boots into the Barrel Game" or with the horse lasso.
