Südbahnhofmarkt Linz

Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Fresh - Cheerful - Friendly, that's the motto of Linz's Südbahnhofmarkt. From early in the morning, everything revolves around fresh produce.

This traditional Linz market is particularly popular. The Südbahnhofmarkt is lively and is characterised by the variety and freshness of the goods on offer.
The market is above all a meeting place and an engine of communication. The ORF programme 'Arcimboldo-Life vom Markt', which is broadcast every Saturday, contributes greatly to its popularity, which extends far beyond the city of Linz. The broadcasting pavilion, designed in the shape of an apple, has given the market an original landmark. The cooking studio is also very popular on Saturdays, with the City of Linz's Finance and Economy Department and ORF regularly inviting chefs and top restaurateurs to prepare and taste their specialities there on Saturdays between 9 am and 12 noon. The aim is to inspire customers to cook creatively and seasonally and to bring the freshness home with them.
