Gruenwinkel wayside cross

In the early morning of May 1, 1994, 5 young people from Thalgau or Hof were on their way home from a happy festival in St. Georgen.

In the area of Grünwinkl they met a ghost driver. In the accident, three young people lost their lives.

The Marterl, which was erected for them, is adorned particularly beautifully by the relatives each year on the day of death and to All Saints' Day. Also Mrs. Pichler, on whose grounds the Marterl stands, has an eye on it, that it is maintained.
