In addition to the provincial fishing card, a fishing book for Upper Austria (valid for 1 year in Upper Austria) is required.

Well-structured mighty watercourse with a width of approx. 30 m and a length of 5.1 km along the village of Grünburg. The course of the river is characterised by large weirs, the so-called "Haunoldmühle" in the upper section, the "Steinbacher Wehr" and the "Humpelmühle", which also forms the hunting ground.

The fish population is dominated by brown and rainbow trout. In typical sections you can find the famous "Steyr grayling".
