Art and culture association in the Freistadt brewery
The gallery has been in existence since 1988 with its spacious location in the historic brewery building. It was initially intended as a forum for artists and cultural practitioners in the city and its surroundings, but over the years members from further afield have joined the association, which is run by elected board members on a voluntary basis. An internal jury looks for maturity, independence and cleanliness of the exhibits.

The brewery is located outside the city centre walls of Freistadt, about a 5-minute walk from Freistadt's main square. If you drive along Linzerstraße in the direction of Prague, the brewery is on the left-hand side.
The entrance to the gallery is via the courtyard of the brewery.
The exhibition rooms are on the 2nd floor and can be reached via 48 steps or by lift.
