Musikpavillon - Seecafe
Mondsee am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The historic landing stage is now home to a restaurant and a small hotel right on the shores of Lake Mondsee with a view of the Salzkammergut region.
Originally, this area was the timber inspection site of the municipality of Mondsee. In 1877, the site was bought by Robert Baum, the owner of the scythe factory, and he founded the "Erste Mondseer Dampfschiffahrtsunternehmung" in 1887.
He launched the new screw steamer "Helene", named after the daughter of Princess Ignatia von Wrede. The lake facilities were built by 1885 and the music pavilion was rebuilt in 1900.
Up to 200 events were held in Mondsee, making it the densest programme in the entire Salzkammergut. The lakeside restaurant with grill room and steamboat station building was built in 1904 and has been run as a catering business ever since.
