What started out as a hobby turned into a small brewery on Lake Attersee!

About 10 years ago, Volkher and Herwig Kaltenböck turned their hobby, brewing beer, into a small but exquisite artisanal brewery Hausbrauerei Kaltenböck.
 
As a tribute to our cider tavern 'Mostschenke zum Hoangarten' we called our first beer 'Hoangarten Bier'. In 2010, it was awarded a gold medal in the category unfiltered lager beers at the BeerAG Award at the congress centre in Salzbourg.
 
Starting out with one kind of beer, the Kaltenböck's have developed a fine assortment of various special beers:

Come and try our beers at our cider tavern 'Zum Hoangarten' all year round from Friday to Sunday, 4 pm to midnight.
