Hallstatt World Heritage Museum
Travel back in time and experience unique exhibits from the Stone Age to the present day as well as a virtual and visual journey of discovery in the World Heritage Site of Hallstatt.
7000 years of Hallstatt
In the Hallstatt high valley lies the famous burial ground that gave an entire epoch the name
the name "Hallstatt culture". The finds exhibited in the museum in the center of the World Heritage site bear witness to exquisite luxury and elite artistry, but also to global trade relations. In addition to the numerous original finds from the Hallstatt burial ground, various areas of life such as religion, everyday culture and tourism are also effectively and vividly presented.
History revisited
On a unique journey through time , historical events are presented in an interesting and informative way at various stations, using video animations, holographic displays and three-dimensional presentations. A visit to the Hallstatt Museum in the Dachstein Salzkammergut is therefore definitely an experience for the whole family.
