Experience the forest

The Bohemian Forest nature centre is located in the upper Mühlviertel. The adapted forester's house is central staging post for the students and allows classes in all weathers.
On the guided tours, targeted at children aged 8 to 12 (of course nature lovers of any age are welcome) there are varied main topics. The nature centre offers participants the possibility to build a special connection to nature, based on experiencing with all sences.
"Learn from the forest in the forest" is our central idea. No hitting the books, but playfully researching the forest and discovering connections in nature.

Duration: at least 4 hours; possibility to make a campfire

The Bohemian Forest nature centre offers guided tours not only for school classes, but also for groups (10 to 30 persons). Larger groups only in good weather. Timely (at least 3 weeks prior) registration necessary! (0676/30 10 997)

Opening hours

The Bohemian Forest School is open all year round by appointment.
If you want to experience the forest with all your senses, it is best to come from May to October.

But forest school days in the cold season are also something special. The forest experience is usually shorter, but the cosiness of the forest school building is fully enjoyed.
Generally only on weekdays (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are to be arranged separately).
Only after successful and confirmed registration!
Only as part of booked forest tours.

Without advance booking, the Böhmerwald School is NOT staffed (for staffing reasons). Tour appointments must also be arranged via REGISTRATION or with a forest educator!
