Geretsberger Friedenspanorama

The area around the Kragleder chapel offers an impressive view of the mountain landscape - especially on a clear day - and also offers an extremely attractive, charming landscape.

The view from this peace panorama location connects the communities, as it is possible to see into the area of several communities from this position and the churches of Moosdorf and Eggelsberg can also be seen. Furthermore, this view connects the federal states of Upper Austria and Salzburg, as the view also leads into the landscape of our neighbouring federal state. If you look at the mountain panorama from this location, the view also extends beyond the state borders into the German federal territory. This location is therefore predestined in a special way for a declaration of peace between the municipalities, the federal states, but also between the federal states.

To give this peace panorama site a special symbol, a model and panorama board describes the scenic attractions and marks the view of the mountain panorama. In addition, the appealing peace panorama site was designed as a place to linger.

This project is intended to express the appreciative, respectful and unifying coexistence with the neighbouring communities, the neighbouring federal state and ultimately also the neighbouring country and to represent a commitment to peace (which forms the basis of our WE consciousness, our identity and our success).
