Since the 1930's, the former Beneficiary Home right next to the Town's Parish Church has been housing the Heritage Museum.
Visitors are provided with insights into the rural and bourgeois life of days gone by, using an originally furnished farmer’s parlor and Baroque and Biedermeier-style decorated rooms. Pride of place is given to the exhibits of an ancient lake dwelling on Attersee Lake. The Dr.-Anton-Bruckner and Prof.-Max-Auer Memorial Rooms commemorate the close ties famous Austrian composer Anton Bruckner had to the town of Voecklabruck.
