The Pöstlingbergbahn Museum in Linz combines the history and modernity of the legendary mountain railroad. Display boards, original technical objects and interactive systems offer exciting insights. A must for technology enthusiasts and history buffs.
The information center, which combines the past and present of the Pöstlingbergbahn, is small but beautiful. Various elements distributed throughout the room emphasize the contrast between historical features and new, modern materials. Display boards are used to present key information on various topics such as history, technology, historic and new carriages. In addition to rails, pantographs and panels, fans of the old mountain railroad will also find an axle with a drive ring and a pincer brake. The combination of the historical ambience with contemporary technology provides interesting insights without detracting from the impression of the building. Variable information and interactive systems cater to the different interests of visitors.
