Heiligen-Kreuz Church

Pasching, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The Langholzfeld parish church is located in the village of Langholzfeld in the municipality of Pasching in Upper Austria. The Roman Catholic parish church of the Holy Cross belongs to the deanery of Traun in the diocese of Linz. The church is a listed building.
Many people found a new home on the western outskirts of Linz after the Second World War. Many of them were displaced Danube Swabians or Transylvanians. In 1963, under Pastor Herbert Kretschmer, work began on the construction of a new parish centre for Langholzfeld and Wagram. In 1967, the new parish church was consecrated under the title "Holy Cross". In 1970, a new parish kindergarten was built in the rapidly growing parish.

After the retirement of Father Kretschmer in 1997, Albert Scalet was entrusted with the management of the parish. He worked as a pastor in collaboration with various parish moderators until 2009 and lived in the vicarage with his family.

Since autumn 2009, Herbert Unger has led the parish as parish assistant and Prelate Max Mittendorfer as parish moderator.
