Horse-drawn railway as a hiking trail!
Worth seeing and experiencing during a visit to Engerwitzdorf is a historical connection of European standing - the horse-drawn railway, the route of which ran through the present-day municipality. The middle station was located in Treffling (today owned by the Schöffl family). The municipality is endeavouring to design parts of the old route, which are still very well preserved, especially in the Treffling area, as a hiking trail and to set up a small open-air museum on the subject of the "horse-drawn railway" near the second community centre of Mittertreffling.
