Heizinger-Stöckl
Alkoven, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The Ausnehmer or 'Backstöckl beim Heitzinger Hofe' is a late baroque jewel with 5 rooms and a vaulted cellar.
The small, single-storey gabled house with its charming four-window façade and remarkable Rococo stucco ornamentation is a perfect example of Upper Austrian Baroque architecture. The house was probably built around 1773 as a house for moving out, the date can be found in a stucco ceiling.
The current owner had the exterior façade and the interior rooms, some of which are decorated with stucco ceilings, of the building, which has been a listed building since 1975, restored with the professional support of the Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments.
The Heizinger-Stöckl is tucked away in a magnificent courtyard next to Hartheim Castle.
