Comfortable daytrip with the "Gosauer Bummelzug" or alpine taxi up the mountains to different huts in Gosau!

The perfect family day out. Enjoy a relaxing trip by the "Bummelzug" or alpine taxi up to the Iglmoosalm or to the Grind Stone Quarrys/Löckenmoos.

There are many hiking trails which begin on these mountain plateaux. Alternatively, you can sit and relax and enjoy home-made food specialities (including chesse and butter made on the farm). There is always plenty of musical entertainment, and the locals can tell you lots of stories and anecdotes which will keep you amused for hours.

World Heritage hike "Löckenmoos - Plankensteinalm" - guidet tour

The tour starts at the sports field Gosau. With the Gosauer land train or Alpine taxi you reach the huts "Schleifsteinhauerhütten". From there,the guidet tour starts trough the beautiful "Löckenmoos". Later the taxi picks you up and brings you up to the Plankenstein where you hike with the tour guide to the Geißwand, where we enjoy the breathtaking view down to Hallstatt and Obertraun. A stop in the Leutgebhütte should not be missed.

This tour can only be booked individually for groups of 5 or more.

Nature experience Löckenmoos - guided hike at the Gosauer hill moor

The tour starts at the sports centre Gosau. With the Gosauer land train or Alpine taxi you reach the huts "Schleifsteinhauerhütten". From there, the guidet tour trough the beautiful natural "gem" starts. Join us and discover the outstanding beauty of this peaceful area nestling between the Gosaukamm mountain range and the majestic Plassen.

Andrea, proprietor of the mountain hut, eagerly awaits your arrival at the Iglmoosalm where she will have prepared all sorts of home-made treats. You have 3 hours now to explore the numerous hiking trails.

from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau

from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
