Kapellenlinde
Neukirchen an der Enknach, Oberösterreich, Österreich
A mighty chapel lime tree can be found between the villages of Eschberg and Paßberg. The "Seifingerlinde" was planted in 1910, is 15 metres high and has a crown diameter of 13 metres. The trunk has a circumference of one metre at a height of three metres. The tree was badly damaged by a devastating freezing rain in March 1987. Traces of this natural event are still visible on the crown, whose spherical shape has suffered to some extent.
