Gipfelberg

The summit mountain
The moraine landscape was mainly characterised by the Salzach glacier of the last ice age, which reached as far as Geretsberg. The terminal moraines of this glacier form a ridge that runs through the entire municipal area. One of the highest elevations is the summit mountain to the north of the village, the south side of which offers a clear view from the Höllengebirge to the Bavarian Alps.
