The fountain on the village square or the legend of the three virgins who guarded three springs...
The basic idea for the design of the village fountain goes back to a legend that also forms the basis of the municipal coat of arms. According to this legend, there were once three virgins in Weibern who tended three springs. They are said to have founded the village. According to a design by master carpenter Hamedinger (Weibern), these three women are depicted with the springs in wrought iron.
Behind the fountain is a pavilion enclosed on two sides by a wall. In front of this is a seating wall. An enclosing wall adjoins the pavilion on both sides, giving the area the character of a square. A memorial plaque to the local poet Augustin Roitinger ("Moar in Einberg") is attached to this enclosing wall. He was born in Weibern in 1909 and died in 1982.
