Volksschule Gallspach

The VS Gallspach is one of the largest primary schools in the district, currently having 8 classes and a preschool group. Meanwhile, seven classes are equipped with a multimedia whiteboard with internet access for teaching purposes.

At the school snack, provided by local bakeries and a farmer from Kematen, healthy eating is emphasized. There are no desserts, sweets, or sweetened beverages available for purchase. The children have the option to order school milk or other dairy products. These are delivered fresh daily by a farmer from Waizenkirchen. Afternoon care: This learning and leisure care ("Happy Learning") is conducted by the association SALE in collaboration with the state of Upper Austria and the public employment service, with support from the municipality of Gallspach (operating costs; plus cost participation). The children are supervised by Mrs. Christine Mallinger (0664/73669056). A community-owned school canteen offering freshly cooked meals is available for children and teachers. Mother-tongue classes in Bosnian, Albanian, and Turkish are also offered in the form of one to two hours weekly. Highway/National road: on the A8 coming from Passau or Linz - exit Meggenhofen/Gallspach - then continue on B135 towards Gallspach Train: Get off at Wels or Grieskirchen, then take the bus to Gallspach Flight: Linz/Hörsching Airport
