Managing Director Hamzi Salai and his wife as well as his son, owner Ismet Salai, come from an ice cream parlour dynasty. The ice cream business has been a family tradition since around 1903. They have been running an ice cream parlour in Funtana (near Porec) since 1978.
The range always includes 16 flavours of ice cream and countless different sundaes. Delicious coffee, tea and drinks round off the offer. Cashpoint payment will also be possible soon.
We were allowed to take a look behind the scenes of ice cream production. The milk and other ingredients are first heated to 90 degrees - then it goes into the ice cream machine - after just 15 minutes the finished ice cream comes out.
It is constantly produced fresh. The ice cream is never older than 2 days.
The Parenzo ice cream parlour is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. This year the season will run until 1 November. Next year, depending on the weather, it will open again at the end of February or beginning of March.
