Media workshop Reportage/Street survey

The group produces and designs its own TV report, a street survey. During the workshop, a TV report on a specific topic is prepared and carried out together. The focus of the content or the questions for the street survey can be prepared in advance (e.g. in class) and brought along.

Procedure: Introduction to DORFTV, introduction to camera and sound recording, exercises in conducting interviews, content-related topics, elaboration of questions, street survey:  the teams film the interviews independently, ev. moderation, editing, completion and screening.

In general, dealing with media content and an independent production sharpen awareness in dealing with media. Young people grow up with digital information technologies and have different experiences in everyday life, especially with social media applications. In order to promote a reflective debate, target-group-oriented offers for teaching media competence are necessary. In addition to the acquisition of editorial and technical skills, this also includes a critical view of media development and the understanding of freedom of opinion as an important democratic prerequisite.

Group size: 6 to 24 people
Duration: 4.5 to 6 hours
From 12 people, a second group is formed with its own trainer; both workshops can take place in parallel.
Important: for kids under 12, one supervisor is needed per small group for the street survey.
Possible all year round, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 18:00
