Stummermühle - From grain to flour with water power
The Stummermühle is the last remaining farmer's mill with two water wheels and two grinding gears in the Pyhrn-Priel region.
Travel information:
Private: A9 - exit Roßleithen, then B138 approx. 300 m towards Windischgarsten, turn right towards Roßleithen, approx. 5km
Public: With the Riedler bus (line 431) to the bus stop Roßleithen Ort - walking time approx. 20 min.
Opening hours:
June to the end of September every Monday from 10am - 12pm
No registration required.
Guided tours at other times for groups of 10 or more people possible by arrangement for a fee.
Note: After visiting the mill, you can hike on to the impressive natural spectacle of the Pießling spring (approx. 20 min.). It is the largest karst spring in Upper Austria - an entire stream emerges from a vertical rock face.
