The 30,000 m² recreational area Bräuwiese, located on the west bank of the Traunsee in the Mitterndorf district, is one of the most popular in the region because of its pleasant ambience, the favorable traffic situation and the beautiful view over the Traunsee to the Traunstein opposite.
Public bathing and recreation area Bräuwiese
The area is open to the public free of charge and offers parking facilities in the immediate vicinity, as well as free changing rooms, open-air showers, a football pitch, a children's playground and a self-service snack bar (Tel. +43 7618 20144).
The sunbathing lawn, which is about 230m wide and slopes downwards for 40 to 50 metres, also offers shady areas thanks to a few medium-sized trees.
The shore essentially consists of two shallow bays with a pebble beach about 2m wide. The water only gradually deepens here, making it particularly suitable for children and non-swimmers. Wheelchair users can also easily access the sunbathing area and there is a toilet suitable for the disabled.

Entry to the Bräuwiese is free of charge.
However, parking fees are charged daily from May 15 to September 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Day ticket: EUR 5 (to be paid directly on site - parking machine - coins or card payment only)
Season ticket: EUR 60.

Is the parking of coaches and/or motorhomes permitted?
For buses, trucks, trailers, caravans, motorhomes, camper vans, etc., parking is permitted if a parking permit
is given (observe signs and information boards on site) per parking space used (car dimensions!!)
a parking ticket must be purchased. Overnight stays, camping, barbecues and open fires are prohibited!
